Kodaikanal (beautiful hill stations of India.)

Kodaikanal is one of the most beautiful hill stations of India.
It is proudly called as princess of hills with it’s steepy mountains, rocks, dense forests and lovely lakes. This place is noted for kurinji flower which blooms for once in every 12 years.
Kodaikanal is being visited by people from almost all parts of the world as it attracts by the bracing wind, enjoyable chill weather and many wonderful natural sceneries.
The best time to visit here is summer months of April to May, however it is being visited throughout the year except September to December when it is raining heavily. It is situated on folded Western ghats of Palani hills in Tamil nadu, India at an altitude of about 2,133 m from mean sea level. Area is about 25 sq. km.
An interesting thing behind the history of Kodaikanal is that it was first visited by B.S.Ward, surveyor in 1821 and later recommended to American missions in Tamil nadu.
The foriegners in the missions could not bear the hot climate of Tamil Nadu and suffered from epidemic diseases and consequential deaths. They wanted a neat and healthy place to stay and improve their health. They were happy to see the report of B.S.
Ward about this wonderful hill station and later moved in and built a lot of dewellings which is still there called as ‘ sunny side ‘ and shelton

University of Colorado

The University of Colorado gets all the credit for keeping jobs around but, like Austin, Boulder's hippie roots and artistic bent do a nice job of keeping the foot traffic moving and keeping the place just a little quirky.
This helps spice up the job mix a bit by placing ad firm Crispin Porter  Celestial Seasonings tea and plastic sandal maker Crocs to the list of employers, but the area still relies heavily on scientific institutions such as the Center For Astrophysics and Space Astronomy,
the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Space Science Institute, as well as straitlaced companies including IBM, Lockheed Martin and Ball Aerospace & Technologies to keep the party going.

The Plitvice Lakes - Croatia

  • Plitvice lakes and waterfalls and experience every color nature has to offer in every glance!

  • Plitvice National Park in Croatia is considered to be one of the most beautiful natural sights in Europe. Due to its natural beauty and significance, this system of 16 interlinked lakes and a large forest complex around it were set aside as a national park in 1949.
  • The sixteen lakes are separated into an upper and lower cluster formed by runoff from the mountains, descending from an altitude of 636 m to 503 m over a distance of some 8 km, aligned in a south-north direction.

  • The lakes are separated by natural dams of travertine, which is deposited by the action of moss, algae and bacteria. The encrusted plants and bacteria accumulate on top of each other, forming travertine barriers which grow at the rate of about 1 cm per year.

  • The lakes are renowned for their distinctive colours, ranging from azure to green, grey or blue.
